Mega Barbaracle
Hello! This is my first blog on mega speculation. I am excited and ready to start! So, the gist of what I plan to do with this series of blogs is go over potential mega concepts that I want in future games. Many of the Pokemon I cover are not likely to get megas, this is because I random gen these Pokemon. The reason I do this is because I want every Pokemon to be touched on. I mean, if Pokemon like Audino can get a mega, what can't.
And it looks like the first Pokemon I am covering is Barbaracle. I am personally not a big fan of its design, but if it were to get a mega, I could see it gaining even more binacle heads/feet to gain an almost centaur appearance. I say this because the general theme between Binacle and Barbaracle is the addition of more binacle heads. Although, I don't think Barbaracle should look like a centaur, I think it would be cool to see it get 4 legs and 2 hands with a head.
This idea would probably focus mostly on Barbaracle's Attack Stat. However, I can see a significant increase in its defense and Hp stat as well. Also, I can see it keeping its ability Tough Claws as its mega ability.
My Second proposition for Mega Barbaracle is to make it seem bulkier. Looking at Barbaracle, one wouldn't think its largest stat is its defense. It looks like a frail Pokemon. It would be hard to make Barbaracle look like a more defensive Pokemon, but incorporating stones in the Binacle heads and necks and enlarging its rock body, would be a great start.
Obviously, this design would get significant increases in defense, special defense, and HP. But I'd also like to see minor increases in attack. Again I think Tough Claws would stay, but Weak Armor could be a thing as well.
For future entries, I will try to include images online to kind of go with my ideas, but none on Google really embodied what I want in a mega Barbaracle. The only well designed one looks like a rock psychic type, which I just can't see happening at all.
